but nobody wants to feel different,”

My favorite seniors are back! Witty cosy crime time! Fun escape read! {unbezahlte Werbung}
🦊The Bullet That Missed is book #3 in the Thursday Murder club series – and this time it is about two murders: one in the past and one that hasn’t yet taken place. Of course, the same residents of Cooper’s Chase Retirement Village are taking on the case, running into (or rather creating) chaos in their attempt to solve the crimes.
🦊The original four septuagenarians, aka The Thursday Murder Club, Elizabeth, Joyce, Ibrahim, and Ron, are taking the stage again. In addition, other favorites are featured, including Chris, Donna, and Bogdan, and Alan, the dog.
🦊In this 3rd installment of TTMC is something for everyone here! Amore is in for some characters, while others are facing heartache and drama – and death:
- Joyce Meadowcroft, a retired nurse, has some dangerous catching up from the past.
- Retired MI6 Agent Elizabeth (why do I see Helen Mirren best in this role?!) gets to spend time with an ex-KGB acquaintance whether she likes it or not;
- Joyce gets to flirt with a handsome (if he does say so himself) TV personality;
- Ron Ritchie, a union organizer, spreads his wings whether he meant to or not; and
- Ibrahim Arif, a renown psychiatrist, gets to brainstorm with the one who helps him brainstorm the best.
Head over heels they get themselves involved in a cold case, money laundering, tax evasion scheme that resulted in an unsolved murder.
The story is very entertaining! We spend time in just about everyone's head and their thoughts always give me a laugh. The chapters are short, smart, fast and full of wit, and every character brings flavor to the mystery plot! At times it is hard to keep up with the different story strings and characters, but it is still a must read gem ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️
