“Why did we suffer to keep secrets?
Merely to protect ourselves, or to protect others?”

📖The Lost Apothecary focuses on Nella🧙🏼♀️, who runs a secret apothecary shop in London, and Eliza Fanning, a young 12-year-old girl with a curiosity about her shop. The story is set in the late 18th century and follows Nella as she secretly caters poisons to her female clientele who wish to harm or kill men that have oppressed them☠️ 🧪An advocacy that emerged from an old betrayal she experienced herself.
One day, Nella meets young Eliza, who comes to the hidden shop to buy a poison she was requested to buy for her mistress. But Nella's fate is in danger when Eliza commits a fatal mistake that creates a string of consequences that echo through the centuries! (Exciting ryt?!😲)
🏙This story switches between the POV of the mid-thirties Caroline in the present-day. Caroline is trying to get over her own story of marital betrayal and travels to London to find healing🧘🏻♀️When she comes across a vial🧪 from the 18th-century apothecary shop little she knows that this encounter sets into motion the unraveling of a mystery that was forgotten for over two hundred years ✨And soon, she finds herself fully absorbed in a historical investigation🔎
My thoughts? I LOVED IT! #TheLostApothecary by #SarahPenner is a story of women who take control of their own destinies despite the hardships they have endured. A story so engaging, powerful, and filled with crackling suspense, magic and the remarkable ways women can save each other despite the barrier of time💕A fantastic read and so recommendable!
⏭Has anybody news regarding Fox network plans of producing a television series with one-hour episodes of TLA? 😃 I’m excited how that would turn out!!

“If felt as though the universe,
in her strange and nonsensical way,
meant to reach out to me,
to remind me of the enthusiasm
I once had for the trifling bits of bygone eras,
if only I could look beneath the dirt that had accumulated over time.”
